David Lerigny, Chair



David LeReaney was a founding member of PAL Calgary in 2004. His career as a professional actor spans 42 years and over 300 productions, on stage and screen. He is a recipient of the 1993 Best Actor and 2007 Best Narrator AMPIAS, the 2000 COHEN AWARD (for sustained and significant contribution to Calgary theatre) and the 2010 Supporting Actor BETTY MITCHELL AWARD. He has also been a dialect coach for over 22 years, working with many award winning actors in film and television productions. He is a proud standardized patient trainer at the Cumming School of Medicine.







Gail Kennedy, Vice Chair



Gail Kennedy has been a top Canadian motion picture makeup artist for 43 years, capturing an Emmy award, 5 Emmy nominations, a Hollywood Makeup Artist Guild award and two nominations, A Canadian Screen Industry nomination, and 8 Alberta Motion Picture Industry Award wins. When not designing makeup and makeup fx for motion pictures, Gail heads up the makeup crew for The Calgary Opera, and teaches numerous industry related workshops.

Ms Kennedy serves as Vice President for the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees and Motion Picture Technicians Local 212.

Gail became a board member of PAL in 2006.







Allistair Elliott, Secretary



Born in Northern Ireland, Allistair received his music degree from Leeds College of Music in England before emigrating to Canada in 1988. His extensive performing credits include The Drifters, The Temptations, Lou Pride, John Dankworth, and The Supremes, to name a few. He's opened for jazz saxophonist Joshua Redman, toured with Decidedly Jazz Danceworks, and shared the stage with Lenny Pickett, and the Honeymoon Suite.

Allistair has recorded numerous tv and radio jingles and was featured on the opening credits of ESPN's 2010 World Cup Theme as well as ESPN themes for Monday Night Football and Wimbledon Tennis. His writing credits include the film, Friend of the Family, where he also appeared, performing two original tunes. His award-winning recording, Urban Nights, is available on all platforms and is a busy performing musician. Allistair works as the International Representative for Canada with The American Federation of Musicians of the United States and Canada.







Cindy McLeod, Treasurer



Cindy McLeod has been a jazz vocalist for over 45 years in Canada and around the globe, performing and recording with Canadian jazz greats Tommy Banks, Bob Erlendson, Linton Garner, Bob Stroup, Hugh Fraser and P.J. Perry, as well as international artists such as Keith Copeland (NY), Stephen O'Connor (US, MX), Steve York (UK, MX), Quyen Van Minh (VT), Victor Mestas (VE) and Roberto Aymes (MX), to name a few. She has released three full length CDs, and is a talented lyricist. A founder of the Calgary Blues Music Association (CBMA) as well as Calgary International Blues Festival, Cindy is Producer and Artistic Director for the organization and has created what has become one of the largest blues music festivals in Western Canada. A recognized leader in Canadian music, Cindy received the 2019 Industry Person of the Year Award for Calgary's YYC Music Awards, and in 2021, the prestigious Blues Booster of the Year from Toronto Blues Society. Cindy is host of The Blues Witness radio show, heard on Wednesdays from 6-7:00pm at CJSW Radio 90.9FM in Calgary.







Mark Bellamy, Officer



Mark Bellamy has been a part of Calgary’s theatre community for over 25 years. From 2104 to 2017 he was Artistic Producer of Calgary’s Lunchbox Theatre. Prior to that he was Artistic Director of Vertigo Theatre from 2004 to 2012. He has also worked extensively in western Canada as a freelance director and choreographer on over 50 productions. Mark has been honoured with numerous Betty Mitchell Awards for his work as an actor, a director and a choreographer, as well as the International Mystery Festival’s Angie Award for Best Director in 2008 and a Calgary Critics Award for his direction of Sweeney Todd in 2012. He is the recipient of the 2006 Greg Bond Memorial Award for Outstanding Contribution to Musical Theatre as well as the 2007 Betty Mitchell Award and the 2012 Harry and Martha Cohen Award; both for Outstanding Contribution to Theatre in Calgary. In 2013 was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of his service to Calgary’s Arts Community. He lives in Calgary with his awesome golden retriever, Jackson.







Johanne Deleeuw, Officer



After graduating from the University of Calgary Faculty of Fine Arts in 1985, Johanne began her professional career as the Resident Stage Manager for the Pleiades Theatre (later to become Vertigo Theatre). In 1989, she joined the staff of Lunchbox Theatre, as the resident Stage Manager, moving to Production Manager, Artistic Associate and finally Artistic Director, where she remained until 2005. Since that time, she has been the Executive Director of the Alberta Playwrights' Network, the Administrator for the Asian Heritage Foundation of Calgary, and has worked as a free-lance Stage Manager, Dramaturg and Director for the majority of the theatre companies in Calgary. In 2016, she joined One Yellow Rabbit Performance Theatre as their Company Manager. She is the recipient of the 2016 Dean Ott/Debbie Bolt Award for Continued Contribution to Technical Theatre in Calgary.







Graham Frampton, Officer



Graham Frampton is a theatre operations and production consultant, designer, and educator. He has a background in building new and renovating existing performing arts venues and facilities. Highlights include completing construction and opening The Burlington Performing Arts Centre in 2011 as Manager of Operations and project management of a complete re-construction of Centaur 1 Theatre in Montreal. In Calgary, he has consulted on facility, equipment and operational aspects for The Grand, cSpace King Edward and the theatres at the Seton and Rocky Ridge YMCAs. Completed in 2020, Graham holds an MFA Design/Technical Theatre from the School of Creative and Performing Arts, University of Calgary. During his studies, he focused his research on design as dramaturgy and new avenues of collaboration within his own creative practice as a theatre practitioner. He was the founding President of Calgary Arts Resource Society and served as Chair of The Board for Dancers Studio West. He has been awarded the Dieter Penzhorn Memorial Award for significant and sustained service to the Canadian Institute for Theatre Technology.







Kira Bradley, Officer



Kira Bradley has been a member of the Acting Community in Calgary for 25 years. She has performed on the boards of Theatre Calgary, ATP, Vertigo and Lunchbox Theatre. She was also a co-writer and performer of the award winning plays: An Eye For An Eye and Camp Xray for Ghost River Theatre. Kira's TV and Film credits have included JANN, Fortunate Son and Hell on Wheels. She also loves the medium of Radio when she can get it. Kira supports herself and her son through the trade of Interior Housepainting. She is also one of two Facilities and Maintenence painters for the Arts Commons. It is like a second home. Having a many-layered relationship with the professionals of that building and beyond has spurred Kira's desire to see better resources, and access to home and security for those in the Arts and Entertainment Industries.







Trevor Reuger, Officer



Trevor has been an actor, director, writer, and dramaturg for over 30 years. As an actor he's been seen at Theatre Calgary, Royal Mantioba Theatre Centre, Lunchbox Theatre, Sage Theatre, Vertigo Theatre, Stage West and the Garry Theatre. As a director he's worked for Sage Theatre on Heroes, Vertigo Theatre on When Girls Collide, Columbo: Prescription Murder and Columbo Takes The Rap and Lunchbox Theatre on Ai Yah! Sweet and Sour Secrets, Life After Hockey and The Complete Works of W. Shakespeare (Abridged). In 2011 he received the Betty Mitchell Award for Outstanding Performance by An Actor in a Supporting Role. For 10 years Trevor was the chair and producer of the annual Betty Mitchell Awards recognizing excellence in Calgary Professional Theatre. Currently he is the Executive Director of Alberta Playwrights' Network a provincial organization devoted to the development of Alberta playwrights, at all stages for all stages. In his 13 years with the organization, Trevor has assisted in the development of well over 300 plays and countless playwrights. He has also been known to play the drums!
